This was for a class with Steve Seidel called "Student Work as Evidence: Investigating Learning and Teaching."  First, I selected an audio recording of a violin student playing a movement of a Bach solo sonata.  Then we had a discussion about the work in which the other participants had no information about the student except the recording.  I transcribed and studied the audio tape of the discussion we had.  Finally, I wrote about some of the things that I learned in the process.
